In terms of picture quality, it can turn off individual pixels, resulting in a near-infinite contrast ratio and no blooming around bright objects. It's user-friendly with many apps available through the app store, and the included remote has a point-and-press feature that you can use like a Wii remote, making menu navigation even easier.
